Hello World!
Today is Christmas!
And 6 Austrians are celebrating this evening together today. It's the first time that I am not with my family today. That's kind of strange because Christmas is normally the day with the family.
But honestly, these 5 people are compensating my family almost perfectly.
So how will a Christmas in Lund be tonight? We have big plans. We prepared everything the last few days.
Systembolaget is almost empty because of our raid on the Swedish alcoholic monopole. At this evening we are drinking the expensive wine! Furthermore, we get up early on Saturday and waited 1 hour outside infront of the butcher in the city center of Lund to get some delicious meat: beef, pig and chicken. 2,1kg of the finest to have Fondue tonight. But we made good friends with the people who were waiting outside as well. And you know: Be patient in Sweden! Everybody waits! But it was worth ours while!
So you see: We won't starve tonight!
Other items of the agenda today:
3 pm: Watching Disney in swedish TV (It's a must and the whole family is doing it in Sweden- I don't know how they have so much time. When I think of my home, everybody is completly stressed on that day- right, mum? ;)).
4pm: Going to church and attending a swedish protestantic mess in the big Dom in Lund downtown!
5:30: Preparing sauces, meat and the rest of the stuff.
6:30: Solo of the one and only Mezzo Sopran Arniii: Silent Night in A major together with myself on the guitare. This gonna be great!
Everybody joins with OH Tannenbaum, Ihr Kinderlein kommet, Mary Boy child...
In between the Christmas gospel declaimed by myself by heart (because I red it every year and don't need the text anymore;)).
7:00 Tommy "Santa Clause" Lee is coming to Sparta (beard and Christmas hat already bought for his big performance). We played "Engerl- Bengerl". So we just have to buy one present for one person. Let's see where this will end...
Afterwards the big dinner together!!!
This gonna be awesome!
00:00 Mr. Upperaustria and Mr. Bernharro will perform with just their Christmas hats the story of Joseph and Mary together with Arni as Jesus Christ under the well decorated Christmas tree!!!
(By the way, we tried to "organize" a Christmas tree: But because of some Cuba Libre before this didn't work out- just an impression why not:
But don't worry: The swedish poeple "organized" one some days before. Bernharro thinks it is ugly- But we overruled him!
So, that's Babsi's and my plan for tonight. Everything is organized and we will superwise everything.

Approx 9.00 car-transfer from your hostel/hotel in Kiruna to Kurravaara 20 minutes away from Kiruna. You can choose to go by either dog-sledge or snow-mobile. We go for about 10 km. through the forest and on the ice of Torne and Rautas River.. There are no roads in this region and you might see wild animals and tracks from them in the snow. We stop for lunch; lappish specialities made out of reindeer-meet or fish, potatoes, bread, and then coffee and cake, in our Lappish wilderness-cabin, made the old, traditional way. Veg. food is also possible if told before. After lunch you can enjoy a peaceful day in nature or try some of the activities such as cross-country skiing, shopping firewood, ice-fishing or just relax at the campfire. After dinner you can enjoy a wooden-heated sauna. If weather is clear the chances to see northern light are high. No electric lights disturb the spectacular scenery. You sleep comfortably on reindeer-furs in sleeping bag. After breakfast you will have time for activities. After lunch we go through the beautiful winter-landscape back to Kurravaara. Transfer to your hotel/hostel in Kiruna. We are back earliest at 16.00. The time can be adjusted by starting earlier or later in the morning or the weather.

Hostely, I am not sure what will happen with this page when I am back in Austria! But I try to finish my blog with some pictures of Kiruna.
And maybe there are some other stories in Austria as well.
